Pontinatura Soc. Coop. Agricola was founded in 2008.
The main objective is to guarantee customers high quality products and quality of service with continuity: our services and the range of products grown are available 12 months a year.
The founding members, thanks to thirty years of experience gained in all stages of the agricultural and industrialprocess, know the needs of our customers: for this reason, the company is focused on the production of fresh products, safe and cultivated according to the discipline of integrated pest control.
The Cooperative is supported by associated farms, located in the heart of Agro Pontino in Latina. In addition to these, there are external producers that in the winter allow to fill the physiological deficit of the product and to ensure regularity in supplies.
To date, the area covered by greenhouses by member companies is about 120 hectares.
We currently serve customers throughout Italy and major European countries.
Very large multi-tunnels, equipped with the most advanced technology in terms of irrigation and aeration of production lots, are the structures on which the Cooperative bases its production activities.
Sliding and automated bars ensure irrigation that perfectly meets the needs of crops and, at the same time, ensure an optimization of the water resource, avoiding waste and potential pollution of groundwater.
Greenhouses structured in such a way as to favour a continuous aeration facilitate cultivation in a healthy environment allowing a very reduced use of chemicals.
Innovative machines are used in tilling and sowing activities: every agronomic practice is aimed at minimising the contribution of chemicals and protecting the environment.
Self-propelled electric machines, which do not introduce combustion gases into the cultivation environment, are now the standard with which all companies are equipped.
Pontinatura S.C.A. aims to offer a range of products that is complete not only for their specific type but also for their nature.
Encouraged by the continuous and growing market demand, Pontinatura Soc. Coop. Agr. has decided to give the right importance to the organic production.
San Michele Bio was born in 2019 and with about 14 hectares covers the current demand for organic salads.
